Co-creating paths to sustainable development of and with marginalized communities
We are Advocates for Green Industries and Living Ecosystems (AGILE). We support the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. We, likewise, believe the path to sustainable development is unique for each community. Our approach to sustainable development is a constant co-creation with partner communities, particularly their most marginalized sectors.
Championing Solidarity-based sustainable development for the Global South
We recognize that sustainable development in the Global South entails greater solidarity. A shared macro approach of eco-industrialization is needed for Global South economies to break the historical chains of power- and profit-driven transnational networks that have tied them to underdevelopment, uneven development, or maldevelopment.
Organizing grassroots social artisans and entrepreneurs as backbone of eco-industrialization from below
The eco-industrialization we champion is from below, led by grassroots social artisans and entrepreneurs from marginalized communities. Borrowing from work-in-progress concepts like circular economy, social solidarity economy, and care community, we advocate and support the organization of these grassroots artisans and entrepreneurs into both inclusive, sustainable, green (ISG) value chains and communities of care as the backbone of eco-industrialization in the Global South.
