Kristine "Tin" Sanchez Calleja
Board Secretary
Based in Quezon City & Lipa, Batangas
Tin is a neurodivergent feminist social entrepreneur whose over two-decade career as an advocacy strategist and strategic communication specialist has spanned government, academe, NGOs, businesses, and social enterprises. Driven by a deep commitment to reshaping power dynamics in favor of the marginalized, she took part in the development of and national campaign for the Philippine Mental Health Law (RA 11036), ensuring that mental health rights became a cornerstone of public policy. Her holistic, systems-level approach to social change laid the groundwork for the collaborative ethos that defines AGILE.
Tin’s early roles in government honed her ability to translate complex policy into compelling narratives. She went on to lead advocacy and communications for Accion Contra el Hambre Philippines, representing the humanitarian and development organization on the National Nutrition Cluster, speaking before legislative committees on maternal and child nutrition, orchestrating the Philippines’ entry into the global Scaling Up Nutrition Movement, and mobilizing the adoption of the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition protocol in the Philippines. Her co-founding of the United Nations–led Humanitarian Communication Group, co-architecting of the European Union-funded “Empowered Participatory Governance” project in North Cotabato, and her work managing community transformation in Manila, Pasay and Cavite all reflect the transdisciplinary rigor she brings to sustainable solutions.
As co-founder of AGILE, Tin channels her extensive background in social justice, gender equality, and participatory governance into an inclusive solidarity-based sustainable development network that designs regenerative frameworks for people and the planet. Drawing on her board service with non-government organizations and social enterprises, she crafts open-source strategies that enable communities and industries to flourish in balance with natural systems. AGILE embodies her lifelong project: co-creating just, equitable, and abundant world-building models that honor both social solidarity and the living ecosystems we depend on.
